HYDERABAD: Several parts of Hyderabad witnessed widespread rainfall in the last 24 hours, with moderate to heavy showers recorded across multiple zones under GHMC limits. Data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) shows that Kukatpally and Qutbullapur circles received the highest rainfall during this period.At ESS HMT Hills, Hyder Nagar (Kukatpally), rainfall was measured at 44.3 mm, the highest in the city. This was followed by Rajiv Gruhakalpa in Gajularamaram (36.3 mm), Miyapur’s JPN Nagar Community Hall (35.8 mm), and Jeedimetla (35.8 mm). Other key locations included Shamshiguda (34.8 mm), Gajularamaram (34.5 mm), Kukatpally Village (34 mm), and Patancheru MRO Office (33.8 mm).As per IMD, Northern belt of the city saw light showers through the night, in the Qutbullapur–Nizampet–Miyapur–Alwal belt, before gradually covering other parts of the city. By early morning, some rains were reported in North Hyderabad, particularly in Qutbullapur, Gajularamaram, Serilingampally, Madhapur, Balanagar, RC Puram, Alwal, Ameerpet, Secunderabad, Khairatabad, Himayatnagar, and Malkajgiri.
The IMD has forecast light to moderate rain and thundershowers in most parts of the GHMC area in the next few hours, advising residents to plan accordingly.
