It's not just the fans, now even someone like Tyrese Haliburton, one of the biggest stars in the NBA currently, is joking about the Los Angeles Clippers - Kawhi Leonard controversy. Ever since the Pablo Toree Finds Out podcast reported about the "no-show" endorsement deal Kawhi Leonard signed with a fraudulent tree-planting company, the world of NBA has been all over it.

And as it now looks, it's not just the fans, even other players are talking about it.

Tyrese Haliburton also wants a "no-show" job like Kawhi Leonard

NBA star Tyrese Haliburton was present at the Iowa State home ground on September 6 for the Iowa vs. Iowa State game in FSB I. He appeared alongside FOX's "Big Noon Kickoff" panel for the college football matchup, where former NFL running back Mark Ingram asked Haliburton, "Do you know where I can apply for one of those no-show jobs like Kawhi [Leonard] got?"

The whole panel seemed to get a laugh out of the situation, and Haliburton also took a dig at the situation, saying, "Tell them to find me too!" While he is laughing about it, things are probably not as cheery inside the Los Angeles Clippers board room, as the situation seems to be worsening now with the NBA having hired a law firm to launch an investigation into the matter.

Steve Ballmer tries to cover up while Kawhi Leonard chills at US Open

The whole scenario surrounding the Los Angeles Clippers and their star forward Kawhi Leonard is not going to go away anytime soon. Clippers owner, Steve Ballmer, who is also a big part of the controversy, given he funded $50 million to the now bankrupt and fraudulent fintech company Aspiration, recently sat down for an interview where he vehemently denied any wrongdoing on his part, and said that Clippers have always done things according to the rule set by the NBA.

While all this is going on, Kawhi Leonard, who is at the center of this controversy, has not made any comments on the matter. In fact, he looks least bothered about any of it, and was seen enjoying his day in New York at the US Open Men's semifinal match between Jannik Sinner and Felix Auger-Aliassime. With an open investigation, things are bound to take a turn soon. Also Read: "Paid but not working" - Stephen A.
