In a horrific accident, an Air India flight crashed near the Ahmedabad airport on Thursday, with initial inputs suggesting at least 242 passengers were onboard.

The plane crashed immediately after takeoff from Ahmedabad with 242 people on board the aircraft, consisting of 2 pilots and 10 cabin crew, according to officials, reported news agency ANI.
The fire services and other agencies are present at the crash site. First visuals of the debris of the plane crash has also emerged, showing completely charred frame of the aircraft.
Dozens of ambulances have arrived on the spot and some have taken away injured people to hospital. The police have diverted traffic from the area.
