The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC) on Thursday (November 06) conducted an official inspection of Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad, as part of its statutory functions under Section 12(c) of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993.

The visit was led by Chairperson of the Commission Justice Shameem Akther, along members of the Commission and senior officials from Telangana government. The team inspected the Emergency Ward and interacted with medical staff on duty before visiting the Geriatric Department, Paediatric Department, Paediatric Surgery Wing, and other sections of the hospital. They also examined certain hospital records as part of their review.

Following the inspection, the Chairperson addressed the media and expressed satisfaction with the hospital’s functioning and praised the dedicated work being carried out, particularly in the Paediatric Surgery Department.
