The Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) has identified and booked cases against eight persons accused of illegally practicing allopathy without qualifications, in the suburban areas of Bowrampet, Dundigal, and Suraram.

TGMC vice-chairman G. Srinivas and Council member Vishnu led the inspections, which exposed the extent of fraudulent medical practice in these regions. During the operation, the team found that the accused were prescribing high-end antibiotics, steroids, intravenous fluids, and strong painkillers, all without formal training or recognised credentials.

During the inspections, officials found that P. Suryalatha, who holds a BAMS degree, was operating BLR Clinic; and Shiva Shankar was found running Srinivasa First Aid Centre, prescribing potent steroids, IV fluids, and painkillers.

The Council has initiated legal proceedings and urged citizens to reach out to WhatsApp helpline at 91543 82727 for sending information about unauthorised clinics.
