TGSRTC JAC holds gate meeting in Khammam for success of strike

As a prelude to the strike called by the TGSRTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) in pursuit of its set of demands from April 22 across the State, a gate meeting was organised in front of the bus depot in Khammam on Friday. The JAC local leaders released pamphlets on the “State-wide strike” and distributed them among the workers, a press release said. The JAC leaders P. Appa Rao, L.R.K. Rao, Kotaiah, B. Buchhibabu and others addressed the gate meeting. The JAC called for a strike to press for its 31-point charter of demands, mainly merger of the TGSRTC with the government, implementation of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC), withdrawal of ‘restrictions’ on trade unions and conduct of recognised trade union elections, among others.
