US President Donald Trump on Tuesday responded with “no further hate" hinting towards no retaliation from Washington after Iran’s attempted air strike at the US-run Al Udeid air base in Qatar. In a post on Truth Social a few hours after the attack, he thanked Iran for giving early notice to the US regarding the strikes and stated that Tehran had “gotten it all out of their system".
“Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Despite the message of peace and harmony, the US President in his post-jibed that the Iranian response to the US “obliteration" of its nuclear facilities was “very weak". He then informed that 14 missiles were fired by Tehran, of which 13 were knocked down and one was set free because it was headed in a non-threatening direction.
Trump then stated that no Americans were harmed in the attack and hardly any damage was done. “Most importantly, they’ve gotten it all out of their ‘system’, and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE. I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured," he added.
Following this, Trump in a series of posts announced that a “complete and total" ceasefire between Israel and Iran will go into force to end the conflict between the two nations.
While announcing the US attack over the weekend too, President Trump had said, “NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE."
