TV personality Alani "La La" Anthony recently talked about her difficult journey following her divorce from NBA player and ex-husband Carmelo Anthony. She discussed openly about her unpleasant divorce on the most recent episode of IRL Podcast.

She further addressed her former husband’s cheating allegations and the public scrutiny she faced while she was having marital issues.

In her recent interview with Angie Martinez, La La Anthony addressed the long-standing rumors about her former husband, Carmelo Anthony's infidelity. In a recent visit to the IRL podcast, the actress also opened up on coping with getting divorced while in the public eye.Referencing the divorce, the host stated: “I’m sure there’s moments after everything that happened that you probably didn’t want to get up off the floor…”

The BMF actress then confirmed: “Yes, of course. The hardest part of my life and then playing it out publicly.

So, then you have that part… Like to where they are watching your every move, like ‘she looks sad, she looks depressed’ – they are watching everything.” Carmelo Anthony’s ex further confessed that she was battling her emotions daily, despite putting on a brave face for the world and the media. She continued: “So then you have to fake smile… and you’re dying inside. It is incredibly hard.. But… You gotta push forward, like every day a little bit stronger..

until you get past it. There are days where it will be years later, where something will hit and it will just hurt and it will remind you of something.”

Curiosity over their separation was heightened since "La La's Full Court Life" showed the public their romance and wedding. While rumors of the NBA legend cheating on La La began to circulate, headlines from 2017 to 2019 closely monitored her hand for the presence of her wedding band.

The BMF star suffered a lot as a result of this close scrutiny.

Regarding the change and about the divorce, La La said: “I wasn’t prepared. This is not what I thought was going to happen. Nobody gets married with the thought of getting divorced… You marry somebody thinking that’s who you’re going to be with for the rest of your life, and this is your life. So when that changes, it’s like, ‘Oh, what do I do now? I wasn’t prepared for this.

This is not what I thought was going to happen.'”La La separated in 2017 and, alleging irreconcilable differences, filed for divorce in 2021. Kiyan Anthony, her son with Carmelo, was born in 2007. She then got married in 2010, however, she filed for divorce within 11 years. Online rumors about La La's split from Carmelo Anthony were frequent, particularly because the former New York Knicks player was frequently accused of cheating.
