At the WAN-IFRA’s Digital Media South Asia Awards 2026, The Hindu won the gold in the category “Best AI-driven News Product, Format or Strategy” for its data story on the unusual deletion patterns in the special intensive revision (SIR) in Bihar. The Hindu also won the silver for “Best in Countering Disinformation”.

The Hindu Explains’ newsletter won the bronze in the “Best Newsletter” category. The newspaper also bronze awards in the categories of “Best Marketing Campaign for a News Brand”, “Best use of Audio”, and “Best Reader Revenue”.
