After losing the first game of the 2025 NBA Finals against the Indiana Pacers, Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault gave an important update about the struggling athletes ahead of Game 2. He went on to reveal that he still trusts the struggling stars Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren and hasn’t lost his confidence in the Thunder’s duo. Despite contributing 38 points in the first game of the 2025 NBA Finals against the MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander could not divert the match towards the Oklahoma City Thunder, as the last-minute clutch theatrics by Tyrese Haliburton shifted the ball into the Indiana Pacers' court. As reported by ESPN, Mark Daigneault said-"Usually delivering in the finals is not on the curriculum for third-year players.
Now that they are here, they have to continue to do what they have done all the way through the playoffs. They must "go out there, fully compete, learn the lessons, and apply them forward."
