Patna: This Chhath, city residents can avail the real-time scenario of river Ganga banks and ponds in Patna at their fingertips from the comfort of their homes. Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has launched a dedicated chatbot on a popular instant messaging platform for the convenience of the residents observing Chhath, allowing them to receive the real-time information about the nearest ghats and ponds.To access the service, devotees need to send a “Hi” message to a dedicated PMC number. The system prompts users to select their preferred language, and then offers a list of services. By sharing their live location, residents instantly receive details about the closest Chhath ghat, along with the location and complete navigation route from their residence.The chatbot also shares crucial contact information, including the name and cellphone number of the sanitation inspector and zonal officer assigned to the specific ghat.This e-service also integrates all other PMC facilities and complaint registration options. The PMC is currently preparing the ghats for the ‘arghya’ (oblation to Sun God) ceremony.
