After making a mark on Hindi television, Karan Veer Mehra is gearing up for a significant second chapter in Bollywood. Fresh off his back-to-back appearances on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 and Bigg Boss 18, the actor has been consciously navigating his next move.

It was recently revealed that he will feature in Omung Kumar’s upcoming romantic action drama, co-starring Harshvardhan Rane, Sadia Khateeb, and Ipsitaa.While the project remains largely under wraps, sources confirm that Karan has been cast as the antagonist — a role that marks a sharp departure from his previous work.

Director Omung Kumar tells us, “I first noticed Karan Veer’s quiet intensity during Bigg Boss, and it stayed with me. When this project came up, he fit right into the world we were building.

His raw screen presence and ability to command attention, coupled with a grounded clarity, made him a natural choice. That’s exactly what the role demanded.”Interestingly, Karan had reached out to Omung as part of his efforts to explore more diverse roles. Reflecting on their first conversation, he says, “I don’t hesitate to reach out when I believe in something. I told Omung sir I’d love to work with him — even if it meant playing a tree.

A few days later, he called me and offered the antagonist’s part. This role is unlike anything I’ve done before. While I can’t reveal much until the official announcement, I can say that this film is going to be visually and emotionally striking.

”On the work front, Karan, who began his acting career on television with Remix, has been part of several daily soaps such as Pavitra Rishta, TV Biwi Aur Main, Ziddi Dil Maane Na, Woh Toh Hai Albelaa, Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, and Pukaar - Dil Se Dil Tak. He has also appeared in films like Pathan, Drona, No One Killed Jessica, and Mere Dad Ki Maruti.
