Three individuals, including a student, were arrested in three separate drug raid operations carried out across Hyderabad by the State Task Force (STF) under the Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department on Saturday (May 31). Drugs worth ₹4.36 lakh were seized
In the first case, Kanishk Kevin, a former IIIT Delhi student who became addicted to drugs during his time in the city. After abandoning his studies, Kevin shifted to Hyderabad and enrolled in a hotel management course. According to officials, he had been sourcing LSD from Delhi and distributing it locally. Kevin was arrested in DD Nagar in Kacheguda, leading to the seizure of 113 LSD blots and 16 grams of OG Kush from his possession. Alongside him, three others — M. Deepak Kumar, Mohammed Siraj, and Jethin — have also been booked in connection with the case.
In the second operation, Nerugonda Sai was arrested near a well-known temple in Quthbullapur. The officials seized nine LSD blots from him.
Meanwhile, another man, identified as Desik, was arrested while he was trying to sell 4.69 grams of MDMA at Banjara Hills Road Number 3. A native of Bengaluru, Desik purchased the contraband from a Nigerian national in the city. He has been handed over to the Ameerpet excise station along with the seized drugs.
