VARANASI: The three-day workshop on Heartfulness Meditation and Life Skills, organised by the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Chair, Faculty of Social Science, Banaras Hindu University, concluded at the Centre for the Study of Social Inclusion and Inclusive Policy on Sunday.The final day commenced with a session on diary writing, conducted by Aradhna Choukse, Heartfulness Trainer. She encouraged participants to pen down their thoughts, emotions, and experiences as a pathway to inner clarity. She explained how diary writing enhances self-awareness and serves as a powerful tool for mindfulness, personal growth, and emotional balance.Later, Gorakh Praulkar guided the participants through experiential meditation sessions with prayer, helping them experience a profound sense of calm and inner connection.
Ruchi Vardhan Misra, IG Admin, PHQ, Bhopal, and Heartfulness Trainer, delivered a lecture on “Integrating Meditation in Busy Daily Life”, offering practical strategies to balance modern-day responsibilities while nurturing inner peace and resilience.Prof. Tej Pratap Singh, coordinator of the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Chair, emphasised the importance of adopting Heartfulness practices in academic and professional life.
“Workshops like these remind us that true education is not only about knowledge but also about nurturing clarity, balance, and compassion,” he said. The core mission of Heartfulness is to facilitate the evolution of consciousness through a heart-centred lifestyle, fostering inner transformation, emotional balance, and personal growth, while contributing to the vision of a peaceful and unified global community.The day also included a special segment where participants shared their personal experiences, reflecting on the transformative impact of meditation on their clarity of thought, emotional stability, and lifestyle. Their heartfelt testimonies showcased the value of Heartfulness practices in cultivating peace and balance. The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates.
