Three persons killed in road accident in Nanjangud taluk

Three persons, including two women, died when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a truck near Hullahalli in Nanjangud taluk near here on Wednesday.

According to police, Chikkaswamy, 45, a resident of Hanchipura village, his wife Roopa, 38, and his mother-in-law Channamallamma, 55, a resident of Konenuru village, were returning from a wedding in Gaddige when their motorcycle collided with a truck on the road to Hullahalli.

All the tree motorcycle riders came under the wheels of the truck and were killed on the spot. Their bodies were shifted to Nanjangud government hospital for a post-mortem.

The driver of the truck has been detained while senior police officials visited the spot. A case was registered at Hullahalli police station.
