Thrissur Revenue District School Sports Meet from October 16 to 18

The Thrissur Revenue District School Sports Meet will be held from Thursday to Saturday (October 16 to 18) on Senior Ground of the Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School, Kunnamkulam.

A total of 3,668 students will participate in the three-day event, competing in 98 disciplines across sub-junior, junior, and senior boys’ and girls’ categories. The senior division will also feature two cross-country races, adding an extra edge of excitement to the meet.

Each day will see nearly 1,500 athletes competing in various track and field events. Arrangements have been made to provide food for all participants, parents, and officials, ensuring a comfortable and festive atmosphere throughout the event.

E. C. Moideen, MLA, will formally inaugurate the sports meet. P. M. Balakrishnan, Deputy Director of Education, will hoist the flag, and Seetha Ravindran, chairperson of Kunnamkulam Municipality, will preside over the ceremony.
