She said, "He's had just one girlfriend; that's Deepika." The actress went on to share, "I think maybe there was something missing in their relationship." The veteran actress added that "something" was not there in the relationship, or "maybe he was not himself, and he needed to break off."She further expressed that everyone has relationships, and then "they move on." Neetu Kapoor concluded by saying, "If it was perfect, they wouldn't break up."

The actress had made these comments when she appeared on a show where Ranbir was also a guest.
