Thunderstorm alert in five Telangana districts today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm alert in five Telangana districts for Thursday.

According to IMDs latest bulletin, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal and Nizamabad districts. In addition, strong surface winds are very likely to occur at all 33 districts in the State.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see generally cloudy sky. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with strong surface winds are very likely to occur in the city. Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32°C and 24°C respectively,” the bulletin said.
