A swift response by the Dial-112 emergency team and Banswada Rural Police averted a murder late on Wednesday night, after a man was attacked with weapons at Tangojipet Tanda in Kamareddy district.
Officers from the district said that at 10.07 p.m. on June 5, a distress call was received from an unknown number reporting an assault on a resident of Tangojipet Tanda. The caller informed that the victim was grievously injured and required immediate medical and police assistance.
Acting promptly, the Dial-112 team alerted both the Banswada Rural Police Station and ambulance services. Field officers from the police station reached the location and, in coordination with emergency responders, ensured the victim was rescued and rushed to a nearby private hospital.
Police said the victim is now out of danger, thanks to the rapid response of the emergency services. Investigations are under way to identify and apprehend the assailant, who remains at large.
The Telangana Police urged citizens to use the Dial-112 helpline without hesitation in emergencies.
