‘Tipsy’ man run over by train near Sanjeevaiah Park

A 28-year-old man died after being hit by a speeding train while crossing the railway tracks between Sanjeevaiah Park and James Street stations in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The victim, identified as Mujeeb, a scrap shop worker from Musheerabad, was reportedly crossing the tracks with two friends when the incident occurred. According to the Secunderabad Government Railway Police, the trio were in an inebriated state at the time.

An unidentified train struck Mujeeb, leading to his death on the spot, while his friends fled the scene in fear.

Police have registered a case and sent the body for postmortem examination. Further investigation is underway.
