Toddler killed in wall collapse at Kundalahalli in Bengaluru

An one year and eight months old toddler was killed after a compound wall collapsed on him at Kundalahalli Colony in Bengaluru on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Pranav, the only son of Siddappa and Lavanya.

According to police, the accident occurred around 4 p.m., when a cement mixer lorry, returning after completing moulding work at a nearby house, came in contact with an overhead electric wire. The wire got entangled and pulled down a concrete electric pole, which in turn caused a portion of a house wall to collapse.

At the time, the wall debris fell on toddler Pranav who was playing in the house. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to injuries on the way.

The HAL police have registered a case. The driver of the lorry fled from the scene soon after the accident.

The police have registered a case against the driver.
