Tom Hanks had one piece of advice for Taylor Swift ahead of her rumoured wedding to Travis Kelce -- and it had nothing to do with vows. At the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday, the two-time Oscar winner told E! News that a good marriage comes down to one thing: "The man must make the waffles on Sunday.

" Hanks, who has been married to Rita Wilson since 1988, knows a thing or two about lasting relationships. Swift, 36, is rumoured to be tying the knot with Kelce, 36, at Madison Square Garden on July 3, though nothing has been confirmed.

What did Tom Hanks say about Taylor Swift at the *Toy Story 5* premiere?

The Toy Story 5 red carpet turned into an unlikely wedding column on Tuesday night. Hanks, who reprises his role as Sheriff Woody in the Pixar sequel, was in a playful mood when reporters asked what he would tell the pop star ahead of her big day.

His answer -- waffles -- was delivered with the kind of deadpan charm that has made him one of Hollywood's most beloved figures for four decades. But the bigger surprise of the evening was Swift herself. The 14-time Grammy winner turned up at the premiere and performed her new song, "I Knew It, I Knew You," which plays over the film's credits -- along with an emotional rendition of "You've Got a Friend in Me" alongside Randy Newman, the song's original singer-songwriter.

Tom Hanks admitted he had no idea Swift was even involved in the film until the day the song dropped, June 5. "We were told the day it came out," he told E! News. "They said, 'Tonight at nine o'clock, Taylor Swift is going to be dropping the song that ends our movie.' And I said, 'Well, I've seen the movie and there was no Taylor Swift [song].' 'We know.'"He took the secrecy in stride, joking that the whole arrangement was "diabolical."

"They don't trust us," Hanks said. "And there is a brain trust that goes along that I am not a part of. So I just do what I'm told."Taylor Swift's track broke records on the day it was released, setting a Spotify record for the most-streamed country song by a female artist in a single day. Written for the character Jessie (voiced by Joan Cusack), the song centres on reuniting with a beloved friend after years apart.Earlier that evening, Swift brought a 1995 Toy Story VHS tape to the premiere and asked Hanks and Tim Allen to sign it. Hanks quipped to USA TODAY that she should have "brought in the VHS machine so that we could have signed it, as that could go into the Smithsonian Institute as well."Travis Kelce was not at the premiere. Wedding speculation has intensified in recent months since the couple announced their engagement last August after two years of dating.
