Tourist Family director Abishan turns hero; will pair up with Anaswara in a feel-good romcom

The film will be shot mostly in Chennai and also in Trichy, informs Madhan.

Tourist Family director Abishan Jeevinth is playing the lead for the first time in an untitled feel-good romcom that will also star popular Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan. Debutant Madhan, who previously worked as a co-director in Lover and Tourist Family , is helming the film.In a chat with us, Madhan shares, “Abi and I became close while working on Tourist Family . During that film’s post-production, I finished writing this film’s script and gave it to Abi. I thought he would be the right fit to play a fresh boy-next-door.”The film will be shot mostly in Chennai and also in Trichy, informs Madhan. “Both the leads will have equal screen space. It’s the story of a boy who is somewhere between an introvert and an ambivert and a girl who is more of an extrovert,” he adds.Madhan says he’s fully confident about Abishan’s acting calibre. “I’ve seen Abi perform onscreen and in person. So, I didn’t have any doubts about how he is going to act,” he says. Talking about getting Anaswara on board, Madhan reveals, “I have wanted to work with her ever since I saw Thanneer Mathan Dinangal (2019). Even back then, I decided I would cast her whenever I make a film.”He also states that the Malayalam actress will also be dubbing for herself. “Anaswara speaks Tamil very well. There might be slight deviations, but when I give her the scene paper, she delivers the lines without missing a single word.”
