HYDERABAD
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud urged party MLAs to conduct a self-assessment of their 17-month performance, ahead of local body elections.
He also reiterated the party’s decision to fill up positions soon based on eligibility of party members.
A review meeting for the Warangal parliamentary constituency was held at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday. AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan attended as the chief guest, along with Advisor to Chief Minister Vem Narender Reddy, Warangal MP Kadiyam Kavya, MLAs, and MLCs.
Addressing the meeting, the TPCC chief emphasised the importance of identifying active and committed workers, giving them due priority, working in coordination with seniors and juniors, and acting as a bridge between the party and the government. He also highlighted the need for leaders and activists to work closely with people, promoting government welfare schemes and solving local problems.
The meeting saw a positive response from people towards various government initiatives such as caste census, SC sub-classification, fine rice scheme, and Bhu Bharati. Leaders were encouraged to work towards implementing these schemes.
