Traffic curbs to be imposed on Boring Road on counting day

Patna: The movement of all types of vehicles, excluding the emergency services, will be restricted on Boring Road from 5am on Friday. The Patna traffic police on Wednesday announced traffic restrictions and diversion for Friday till the end of vote counting to ensure the smooth conduct of the process at the A N College.The EVMs and VVPATs for all the 14 assembly constituencies of Patna district have been stored under tight security at the college.The counting of votes will begin at 8am. As per the traffic plan, vehicles will not be allowed from Boring Road intersection towards A N College, Mohini Mor to Sahdeo Mahto Marg and from Pani Tanki Mor on Boring Road towards A N College. During the said period, normal vehicles can use other alternative routes.The movement of commercial vehicles will be prohibited on the route from Rajapur Pul on Boring Road to Hartali Chowk and Boring Road crossing. Similarly, the movement of all types of commercial vehicles will be prohibited from Patliputra roundabout towards A N College and Pani Tanki. During the said period, these vehicles will operate from other alternative routes.The route from Shivpuri railway crossing to A N College (Durga Mandir) Mor will be prohibited for general traffic.

Vehicles of counting agents will come from Bailey Road via Hartali Chowk through Digha R Block new road (Atal Path) to the back of the A N College. The agents will park their vehicles in one lane along Atal Path and come to the A N College on foot from there. Vehicles coming from Kurji Mor and Patliputra roundabout will be parked in the empty ground near Sahyog Hospital. From here, counting agents will come to the A N College on foot.

Vehicles of counting agents will not come to Boring Road.Vehicles of candidates coming from Boring Road and Hartali Mor will only come up to Tapasya Mor on Boring Road. From here, candidates will come to the A N College on foot. These vehicles will be parked from Tapasya Mor to Sahdev Mahto Marg.Similarly, vehicles of candidates coming from Patliputra and Kurji side will only come up to Pani Tanki Mor, from there candidates will come to the A N College on foot. These vehicles will be parked in one lane along the road of Atal Path.
