Traffic marshal rescues rider from fatal accident

In a dramatic rescue, a traffic marshal deployed at Suraram Junction saved the life of a two-wheeler rider on Wednesday.

Katteboina Shiva Kumar, serving with the Jeedimetla traffic police in the Cyberabad Commissionerate for the past three months, acted decisively when the rider lost control, slipped under a RTC bus travelling from Balanagar towards Medak.

With traffic moving at the time, Kumar rushed forward and pulled the rider to safety within seconds, averting a potentially fatal accident. The rider is said to be safe.

The incident was reported at 9.35 a.m. when the rider was travelling from Balanagar towards Gandimaisamma.

Traffic police officials praised Kumar’s courage and alertness, stressing the role of traffic marshals in ensuring road safety.
