Tragic Murder of 65-Year-Old Widow in Godda District: Police Investigate

Dumka: A 65-year-old widow was found dead in her home at Goradih village in Godda district on Wednesday. Police said that the incident took place during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sona Bahunu Khatoon was sleeping with her four-year-old granddaughter when the incident took place. The minor was, however, unhurt."The deceased had two sons and two daughters. One son is in jail, while the other is mentally challenged," said the officer in-charge of Boarijor police station, Ashish Kumar Yadav. He added that both her daughters live and work in Delhi, leaving the elderly woman alone at home with her granddaughter.SDPO Chandra Shekhar Azad said neighbours and relatives are being questioned to ascertain the motive behind the murder.
