South Central Railway has notified the restoration of a train service that was earlier cancelled due to Cyclone Montha.
Train No 17209 SMVT Bengaluru-Kakinada Town Seshadri Daily Express journey commencing on Friday is restored and it will run as per the scheduled timings and path.
To clear the extra rush of passengers, South Central Railway has notified the operation of a one-way special train between Kakinada and SMVT Bengaluru at 1.3 fare.
Train No 02086 Kakinada Town-SMVT Bengaluru Express Special (one trip) will leave Kakinada at 9 a.m. on Thursday and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 3 a.m. on the next day.
The train will consist of 23 coaches, one first-cum-second AC coach, two AC 2-tier, five AC 3-tier, 11 Sleeper Class, two General Second Class and two SLR coaches.
En route, this special train will stop at the following stations: Samalkot Jn, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada Jn, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta Jn, Katpadi Jn, Jolarpettai and Bangarpet, said a release.
