Travis Kelce is officially engaged to Taylor Swift, but fans are now looking back at the Kansas City Chiefs star’s very first comments about her. On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the 35-year-old NFL player and the 35-year-old pop icon announced their engagement with photos of a sweet garden proposal.

Soon after, a video from July 2023 resurfaced online, showing Kelce on his “New Heights” podcast talking about attending Swift’s Eras Tour concert and joking about trying to meet her.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis said. “So I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”Jason was surprised and asked, “You made her a bracelet?”“Yeah,” Travis replied. “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets and I received a bunch of them being there.
