Travis Kelce stuns Arrowhead in black leather before Raiders game with Taylor Swift attention growing (Image via Getty)
Travis Kelce walked into Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday in a black leather jacket, dark sunglasses, a grey sweatshirt, and black pants ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ AFC West game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
His arrival drew instant attention as fans also waited to see if fiancée Taylor Swift would appear in the stadium suite again, after she attended last week’s win over the Detroit Lions. Kelce’s entrance added even more spotlight as the Chiefs look to recover from a mixed 3-3 season start.
Travis Kelce outfit and Taylor Swift expected presence
Travis Kelce has become one of the most watched arrivals in the NFL, and his leather outfit before the Raiders game continued that streak. His sharp appearance came just hours before kickoff in Kansas City. Taylor Swift has not been officially confirmed at Arrowhead for this game, but her recent attendance in Detroit kept attention high on her possible presence tonight. The Chiefs, with a 3-3 record after six games, are looking for a strong division win to gain momentum.
Travis Kelce has a chance to tie a major franchise record tonight. He needs two more touchdowns to match former running back Priest Holmes for the most in Kansas City Chiefs history.
Travis Kelce also enters the game with a catch in 180 straight NFL games, the longest active streak in the league. He has dominated the Raiders in past meetings, with 1,582 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns against them in 22 career games.
Patrick Mahomes reacts to missing teammate Josh Simmons
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was asked about offensive tackle Josh Simmons, who remains missing from team activities. Simmons was expected to play against Detroit last week but was ruled out before kickoff for undisclosed personal reasons. Patrick Mahomes said he was surprised to see him absent and did not know why he was unavailable. Head coach Andy Reid confirmed that general manager Brett Veach is handling the situation and did not provide further details.
Josh Simmons has not returned to practice this week. Reid said the team is aware of the matter but will not speak about it publicly. Mahomes added that he is keeping all conversations private but is praying for his teammate. The Chiefs will, however, have wide receiver Rashee Rice back from his six-game suspension after his involvement in a high-speed crash earlier this year. Rice is also playing his first game since an ACL tear in 2023 caused by a collision with Mahomes after an interception return.
