However, he was added to their practice squad as soon as the season began. In Jan. 2021, he signed a reserves / future contract with Buffalo. Two months later, almost a year after giving an honest answer at the combine, he announced his NFL retirement.

With every passing year, he curates a reply that would get him the green light to leave the prison. But alas, they reject him every single time. Then one day, after serving for 40 years, he gets frustrated and gives an honest answer: “Rehabilitated? It’s just a bull**** word.
So, you go on and stamp your form, Sonny, and stop wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth, I don’t give a sh**.
”This reply gives him the green light, and he’s released from prison. However, Adams’ honest answer did not get him a green signal. In fact, TMZ reported that everyone was laughing about the response. But there was someone who sided with him.
NFL analyst Gill Brandt extended support for Trey Adams
Gill Brandt passed away in 2023 at the age of 91. But in 2020, when he was an NFL analyst, he extended heartfelt support for Adams.
Brandt was pretty furious about the leaked footage. He took to X and shared that he hoped the person who leaked the Trey Adams video would be found out and punished to the fullest extent. He said: these are supposed to be confidential meetings. Not fair to Adams or the process. What is Trey Adams doing now?
After a short NFL stint, Adams retired in 2021 and launched his own company called “Adams Construction & Development LLC.” Adams combined his passion for quality construction with his deep local knowledge and building experience throughout Chelan County. According to his company’s official website, it provides new home construction, remodeling, outdoor living, excavation, and dirt work.As for his personal life, according to Adams’ latest social media post, he got married to his longtime girlfriend Ally Bonnet on February 21, 2026, at Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort & Spa.
