Tripura to host year-long celebration of 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram: Min

Agartala: Tripura will host a year-long celebration of national song ‘Vande Mataram’, in honour of its 150th anniversary, as mandated by the central govt, tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury said.The information and cultural affairs department will coordinate the events to begin from Friday and the celebrations will run until Nov 7 next year. Chowdhury communicated this decision to all states directing to host the events with a comprehensive schedule.CM Manik Saha set to inaugurate the main event at the civil secretariat. In parallel, district-level events will take place, attended by ministers and members of parliament across every district.
