Truck mows down 2 brothers on motorcycle in UP’s Jaunpur; vehicle seized, driver on the run

VARANASI: In a tragic incident, two brothers on a motorcycle were killed after being run over by a truck on Thursday in the Dhamour Nasibsarai market of Khutahan police station area in Jaunpur district.

The police seized the truck and launched a manhunt to nab the driver.According to reports, a girl, Shreyansi, daughter of Ranjit Yadav from Jiwli village in Bardah police station area of Azamgarh district, lives in a rented room in Imamapur market for studies at an institute. Around 7:30 in the evening, Shreyansi's brothers, Priyanshu (19) and Ayush Yadav (11), were on their way to deliver groceries and other items from home on a motorcycle. As they reached Dhamour Nasibsarai, a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction ran over them. Both of them died on the spot. Shreyansi filed a report at the police station regarding the incident.The SO Chandan Rai said that a case was registered based on the report. The bodies were sent for post-mortem. The truck was seized, and efforts are ongoing to locate the truck driver.
