With Iran and Israel continuing their tit-for-tat strikes despite the ceasefire, US President Donald Trump has once again called for a halt in the strikes.

While Iran said its attacks were in response to Israeli attack on southern suburbs of Lebanese capital, Trump reportedly urged Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu in a phone call on Sunday to hold off on launching a retaliatory attack. However, Israel continued its attacks on multiple targets in Iran.

Following this, Trump said in a post on Truth Social: “Israel and Iran must immediately stop ‘shooting’."

In a later post, he said: “Both sides, Israel and Iran, are looking to do an immediate CEASEFIRE! Final negotiations on “Peace" are proceeding, subject to ignorance or stupidity getting in its way. The Blockade will remain in place, and in full force and effect, until a “Final Deal" is reached. Things should move quickly."
