Trump Says Jews Who Vote For Mamdani Are 'Stupid', Claims NYC’s Survival Is At Risk

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that any Jewish voter who supports New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is “stupid" and warned that the city could face severe consequences if Mamdani is elected.

Trump, who has endorsed former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo running as an independent, posted on Truth Social: “Any Jewish person that votes for Zohran Mamdani, a proven and self professed JEW HATER, is a stupid person!!!"

On the eve of the election, Trump cautioned voters that New York City would become a “complete and total economic and social disaster" under a Mamdani administration, claiming the city’s very survival was at stake.

The US President also threatened to withhold federal funds from New York City if Mamdani wins the Tuesday election.

“It is highly unlikely that I will be contributing Federal Funds, other than the very minimum as required, to my beloved first home, because of the fact that, as a Communist, this once great City has ZERO chance of success, or even survival!," he wrote in another post.

Zohran Mamdani, 34, is of Indian descent, born in Uganda, and raised in New York City. He is a New York State Assembly member and a democratic socialist running as the Democratic nominee for mayor. He will facing off against Andrew Cuomo and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa in the upcoming election.

Current Mayor Eric Adams, whose term has been marred by scandals, withdrew from the race in September.

Mamdani, the son of acclaimed Indian filmmaker Mira Nair and Ugandan author Mahmood Mamdani, upset Cuomo in the Democratic primary in June, emerging as the party’s nominee. His campaign has focused on making life more affordable for New Yorkers, promising to “lower costs and make life easier" amid the city’s rising expenses.
