Turpu Kapu community leaders in Srikakulam unhappy over TDP party posts distribution

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) high command appears to have focussed on the Turpu Kapu community to gain political mileage ahead of local body elections, offering key posts to leaders of the Vizianagaram district.

The party has selected Gajapathinagaram leader Gantyada Sridevi as a member of the politburo, its highest policy-making body. It has made Vizianagaram MP Kalisetti Appala Naidu the national official spokesperson, suggesting him to air the party’s views in New Delhi and other places. Cheepurupalli MLA Kala Venkata Rao, who previously held the TDP State president post, was given the vice-president post, and his son Rammallik Naidu has been accommodated as the State executive secretary in the party’s new body. Senior leaders Karrothu Narasinga Rao and Suvvada Vanajakshmi were given the opportunity to work as State secretaries of the party.
