Two inter-State thieves arrested, 465 grams of gold recovered

The Rajamahendravaram City police have arrested two inter-State thieves and recovered 465 grams of gold worth ₹43 lakh from them on Monday.

The prime accused, Bula Naga Sai of Visakhapatnam city, has been involved in 80 theft cases reportedly in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. In 2023, Naga Sai served a one-year imprisonment for a theft case in Bengaluru city, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (Central Zone) K. Ramesh Babu.

The other accused, Md. Ali Ahmed of Bhimavaram in West Godavari was caught for storing the gold stolen by Naga Sai. The police have registered a case and investigation is on.
