Two Special Police Officers (SPOs) have been dismissed from service in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district for having links with terrorists and assisting them in their activities, officials said.
The dismissed SPOs have been identified as Abdul Latif and Mohammad Abbas.
According to police, Abdul Latif was in contact with terrorists and supported them. An FIR was registered against him, and he is currently lodged in Doda Jail.
The second officer, Mohammad Abbas, has four FIRs registered against him for similar offences, officials said.
Police said both SPOs were dismissed following confirmation of their involvement in aiding terrorist elements.
