Two members of a Kerala family killed in Saudi road crash

Two members of a Kerala family were killed and four others injured in a road accident in Saudi Arabia on Sunday night.

The deceased are Rahana, wife of Thekkepeediyakkal Abdul Latheef, and their daughter Nehala, both from Rangattur near Kuttippuram in the district.

The accident occurred on the express highway from Taif to Riyadh near Dhalm, about 200 km from Riyadh, while the family was returning to Qatar after performing Umrah in Makkah.

Latheef, his two other daughters and a grandchild sustained injuries and were admitted to hospital.

The family, long-time residents of Qatar, had travelled by road from Qatar to Makkah for the pilgrimage.
