Two officials at Vadakara municipality suspended on corruption charges

The Local Self-Government department (LSGD) Principal Director suspended two officials at the Vadakara municipal office on charges of corruption.

Assistant Engineer V. Ajith Kumar and Second Grade Overseer P.P. Anisha were placed under suspension pending inquiry under Section 10 of the Kerala Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1960. Internal vigilance officers from the office of the LSGD Joint Director, who conducted inquiries based on public complaints, flagged serious discrepancies that led to the suspension.
