Two Welders Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident on National Highway 76 in Khunti

Ranchi: Two youths died after they were hit by an unidentified vehicle near Sidho More on National Highway 76 in Khunti district on Thursday night, police said.The deceased have been identified as Binod Singh (35) and Jagan Dodrai (28), both from Sidho village. They used to work as welders. The victims had gone out for work on Thursday but did not return till late in the night.Villagers spotted their bodies on the side of the road in the morning and informed the police.Officer in-charge of Murhu police station, Noel Godwin Kerketta, said, “A case of hit and run has been registered in this connection.”
