UAE: Sharjah cancels 10-year-old traffic fines, wiping out over 7,000 violations; see if you qualify

Traffic violations that are older than 10 years qualify for cancellation under this scheme. To benefit from the cancellation, applicants are required to pay a fee of AED 1,000 per vehicle. However, certain humanitarian and special exemptions to this fee exist. These include cases where the vehicle owner has passed away, the owner has been living outside the country continuously for at least 10 years, or the vehicle is abandoned and the owner cannot be traced.
