November and December are considered to be the months for Festivals and Celebrations, which start with Halloween, then come Christmas and New Year, which include a lot of Parties and celebrations.
These Months are also the start of Wedding Season, which includes Pre-Marriage Parties, a lot of Travelling, and more.

During this time, the Weather is usually very dry. With the Increase in Pollution nowadays, we can also see Smog. With the Air being polluted, it becomes necessary to take care of our Skin. This kind of weather makes our skin look darker, drier, and parched; the peri-orbital and peri-oral areas are most affected. To make sure that our skin looks less dry and dark, we need to start with proper cleansing. Using cleansers that will not exfoliate much, will not irritate our skin, and also maintain the PH balance will be better. Using mandelic acid, glutathione face washes, face washes that contain a lot of vitamins, and hydrating the skin well are also crucial. Next comes Moisturisers, for people with oily or combination skin texture, they should use creamier moisturisers.
People with dry skin texture should use thicker moisturisers. Using moisturisers is very important because during this period, an Atopic Flare-up happens, a psoriatic flare-up happens, and eczemas come up, and people can also have a lot of redness on their face or sensitive areas of the body. People should also ensure that the moisturisers are non coloured, are non-preservative, and paraben-free so that they can soothe the skin during this weather.
Using Actives like Retinol and Vitamin C should also be checked. Retinol is a very strong component, and toning down the percentage of Retinol or application time would be effective. People taking Vitamin C should ensure that it is not too silicon-based; it would be great if they are a little bit oil-based or cream-based.
Try using soothing agents like serums that are liquid-based so that they can nourish the skin. Using sunscreen is very important, no matter what the weather, time, or month it is.
The sunscreen should be more mineral-based; it has to have physical filters like titanium dioxide and zinc oxide alongside this, using sunscreen that has vitamin C and hyaluronic acid is very effective.Skin is not the only thing that is affected in this weather; Hair becomes too thin, frizzy, and dry. Using deep conditioning masks, leave-on conditioners, or leave-on serums after every wash will be useful. Try using a mild shampoo, which is not too strong and should also have mild foaming.
One should make sure that the shampoo they are using has too much surfactant, as it can help in avoiding dry scalp.

Using lightweight oils like coconut oil or jojoba oil, or rosemary oil on hair ends will heal the damaged hair ends. Doing clinical treatments like exosome facial or PN injections will send a signal to the messenger cells in the skin to behave well. Doing skin boosters during this weather will help to hydrate and plump up the skin.
Doing mesotherapy hydration will give the skin a good, radiant glow during this weather. During a bath, make sure the water is lukewarm so it does not strip off the natural moisturizers of the body. Try using a lot of bathing oil or body butter after a bath on the wet body. Body butter and Bathing oil are very crucial; avoid using body scrubs during this season. For people with eczema and psoriasis, make sure to use non-irritating body washes, do not use body scrubs, use a lot of moisturizers, and wear indoor footwear so the feet stay cozy.
Do not get into water much and use gloves while washing dishes or when washing clothes. If sleeping in an air conditioner, ensure wearing socks after moisturizing the feet so it keeps the skin soft, supple, and non-irritable.Inputs by Dr Soma Sarkar, MBBS, MD, Dermatology, Co-Founder and Lead Dermatologist of Skin Beyond Border (SkinBB)
