Union Minister asks CM to set up COE in VFX, Gaming and Audio Visual fields

Union Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Jayant Chaudhary has advised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in the State exclusively for VFX, Gaming and Audio Visual fields.

He said that this CoE would be useful in honing the skills of students enrolled in ITIs. Mr. Chaudhary, who was in the city on Sunday, called on the Chief Minister at the latter’s residence this afternoon.

Mr. Revanth Reddy assured that the government would set up the centre in the Young India Skills University and link it with the ITIs.

Responding to Mr. Chaudhary’s suggestion of providing free power to all ITIs, the CM directed officials to install solar power plants in all institutions. At the same time, steps should be taken to upgrade the syllabus of the ITIs in tune with the emerging technologies, Mr. Revanth Reddy said directing the officials to constitute a special committee to examine the matter.
