Union Minister Piyush Goyal offers prayers at Tiruchanur temple

Union Minister for Industry and Commerce Piyush Goel is extended a traditional reception by State Minister for Food Processing T. G. Bharat at Tiruchanur Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple in Tirupati on Monday. Collector S. Venkateswar and TTD Trust Board member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy are seen.

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal offered prayers at the temple of Goddess Padmavathi Ammavaru at Tiruchanur here on Monday.

After offering prayers at Tirumala, the Union Minister and his wife arrived to a ceremonial reception at the temple by State Minister for Food Processing T.G. Bharat, TTD Joint Executive Officer V. Veerabrahmam, Tirupati District Collector S. Venkateswar and TTD Trust Board member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy among others.

Mr. Goyal stood in front of the sanctum sanctorum and offered prayers to the deity, believed to be a bestower of fortune and finance.

The TTD priests showered Vedic hymns (Vedasirvachanam) on the Goyal family, while the officials presented them ‘Ammavari Prasadam’.
