Untimely death of leader: Tata Steel UISL MD Ritu Raj Sinha passes away suddenly; City mourns the loss of an impactful executive

Jamshedpur: Tata Steel Utility Infrastructure and Services Ltd (TS UISL) managing director (MD) Ritu Raj Sinha passed away on Sunaday.The 58-year-old Sinha suffered bleeding from his nose following lunch at his Northern Town bungalow.

He was rushed to the Tata Main Hospital (TMH), where he was pronounced dead on arrival, Tata Steel spokesperson Rajesh Rajan said.The last rites of deceased Sinha will be performed at Parvati Ghat crematorium on November 9.Sinha, former chief of corporate administration, Tata Steel, was made the MD of TS UISL in November 2022.During his tenure, the city witnessed several new initiatives aimed at augmenting public amenities and making the industrial town clean and green. TS UISL played an important role in ensuring Jamshedpur secured the 3rd cleanest city rank in the country in the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25.Former Odisha governor, Raghubar Das, Jamshedpur (West) MLA, Saryu Roy, Potka MLA, Sanjib Sardar, among others, paid tributes to the departed soul.
