LUCKNOW: A class 10 student at a city school accused his seniors of blackmailing him by threatening to make a video viral which they filmed after allegedly forcing him to smoke hookah in Gomtinagar.He claimed that the accused also forced him to consume alcohol and made a video of the act. The senior students allegedly forced the boy to withdraw money from his parents' account.The boy claimed that his seniors extorted Rs 1.4 lakh and his mother's gold jewellery weighing 45 grams after taking him at gunpoint. The incident came to light when the boy's mother found her ornaments missing and asked him about it. The victim revealed the names of his seniors and how they trapped him.The boy claimed that his seniors befriended him and took him to a hookah bar, where they forced him to smoke and made his video. After this, senior students blackmailed him saying that if he did not give them money, they would show the videos to his family or make them viral on internet. Out of fear, the boy first brought Rs 1.4 lakh cash from home and gave it to one of the seniors.However, the accused started demanding gold jewellery from the victim who stole his mother's ornaments (a gold chain of 12 grams and two bracelets).
The boy alleged that when he expressed his inability to give more money or ornaments, one of the accused threatened him with a pistol. "Apart from this, these boys also used to roam near my house in a car," he alleged.The boy's father lodged a complaint with the deputy commissioner of police (east). He alleged that his son was forced into giving money to the accused. "They had damaged the car of a man some time back and had to pay the damages. For this, they forced my son to bring ornaments and cash," the complainant said.Station house officer, Gomtinagar, BC Tiwari, said that an FIR had been lodged and a probe was underway.
