The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested Farhan Nabi Siddiqui from Greater Noida for allegedly publishing and distributing religious books aimed at spreading communal tension and enmity among different groups.

The arrest came after the ATS received intelligence inputs that certain individuals were involved in publishing inflammatory material in the Kasna area of Greater Noida, under the guise of printing religious literature.

The books were reportedly being distributed to provoke discord among communities.

According to ATS, the operation was allegedly being funded through hawala and other foreign channels, with money coming in from Turkey and Germany.

Investigations revealed that companies including M/s Istanbul International Pvt. Ltd., M/s Hakikat Vakfi Foundation, and M/s Real Global Express Logistic Pvt. Ltd. were being used for these activities. The printing work was reportedly carried out at Hakikat Printing Publication, located in Site EPIP, Kasna, Greater Noida.

Officials said that foreign nationals from Turkey and Germany stayed at Siddiqui’s house without notifying authorities. The accused also allegedly provided shelter to illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.

Further probe by the ATS found that Siddiqui and an associate, Nasi Torba, received around Rs 11 crore through hawala and other foreign sources. The funds were allegedly used to purchase land in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district and in Punjab, purportedly in the names of madrasas, mosques, and private firms.

Following these findings, the ATS arrested Farhan Nabi Siddiqui from Kasna, Gautam Buddh Nagar district. Officials said further investigation is underway to trace the funding trail and identify other individuals involved.
