A 15-year-old girl, who went missing from home two days ago, was found murdered in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district.

The brutal condition the teenager’s body was found in points to torture, with a slit throat, broken limbs, and sand and glue stuffed in her nose.

According to a report by NDTV, the girl’s brother had lodged a police complaint in which he accused three men of abducting her. While one of the accused named in the case was arrested, the search for the girl met a tragic end with her body found in a garden near her residence.

The NDTV report said the physical trauma inflicted upon her was extreme. Investigators said her throat had been slit with further evidence of violence, including broken arms and legs and, perhaps most disturbing, the perpetrators stuffed sand and glue into her nose. There was severe bruising on her body.

Though there is no confirmation yet, but her family has accused that the girl was raped before she was killed and her body dumped. 

Authorities took swift action in response to the crime. Harshita Tiwari, the circle officer of Mihipurwa in Bahraich, said a case was registered against three persons named in the complaint. One of the accused has already been arrested.

Tiwari said the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and the police are probing the case from multiple angles.
