She said her mother-in-law guided her on how to handle life as the wife of a famous actor.Speaking to Curly Tales, Upasana shared that when she married Ram Charan, it felt like two very different worlds coming together. She said “He always wanted to be an actor, and for me to deal with an actor throughout, the whole credit goes to my mother-in-law because she coached me through it all. That’s when I realised that telling my mom couldn’t help much.

My mom has always supported me and respects Ram Charan a lot, but the thing is, this life was new to her as well.

We are two people living in the same city, with similar friends, but once we got married, it was two worlds coming together. My mother-in-law told me, ‘Seeing is believing, don’t believe everything everybody says.’”Upasana also remembered meeting Chiranjeevi for the first time. He already knew about her and had said, “She’s not a traditional girl, she’s different.”

She said, "He encourages me, respects what I do and I have utmost respect for my in-laws. It is so important to have supportive in-laws.”

Talking about her relationship with Ram Charan, Upasana revealed that it wasn’t love at first sight, she said, “We realised that we couldn’t have found a better match for each other. We were friends for about two years, no, we didn’t have a spark. It’s not so filmy; it’s not like Magadheera where we touched and felt the spark.

We lived in reality.”Earlier, in a chat with influencer Masoom Minawala, Upasana shared the key to their strong marriage, mutual respect and equality. She said “We come in as equals, we understood that quite early in our marriage. He’s a very, very secure man. And only a secure man will support a woman and push her to do more. That’s what he does for me. Being there with me through my ups and downs, and me being there with him, is our secret sauce.
